Worst Customer service I have ever had. My husband and I stopped by 15 minutes before the antique store was closing. Cutting it close we know but we were on the hunt for a particular items. When we entered the shop instead of being greeted we were rudely told "you have about 10-15 minutes." We politely told the 4 women behind the desk we understood. I than asked if they knew if they had the particular items. 1 of the ladies advised they did. Instead of showing us where we could find them, she gave us directions towards the bathroom. Mind you this establishment is large and my husband and I could not find the items. We did however find something similar in a locked case. I went up front to ask for assistance after standing there for anyone to acknowledge me. The lady barked an order at a man to go with me. He had to go back up front when he realized we needed a key. After getting the items we wanted out of the case we made our way up front to pay. We waited in line with the other customers and when it was our turn to pay the lady ringing us up was rude as well. No one asked if we found everything ok, if we enjoyed our time shopping, nothing. Mind you there was still about 7-6 minutes til closing. It was only around the time I mention how nice the items we found were did we even receive a glimmer of niceness. Its a shame too because the establishment is very nice and well laid out. However, we will not be returning due to the rude attitudes of the...
Read moreAbsolutely worth the visit! I drove 1 hour from Tampa, such an easy drive. I first went to Wildwood Antique Mall but boy oh boy, in my opinion, Traditions Antique Mall is much better in every way!
My decor style is a mix of: victorian, moody, academia, grandeur.
When I go to antique malls I look for pieces that I won't commonly find at an estate sale or a thrift store.
This place had so much variety in style and time periods! I was appreciative that the prices had a healthy range. For example, I found a beautiful candle snuffer for $4 made of wood and brass but also found a beautiful large flower oil painting for $195. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the most part in my opinion. When looking at prices at an antique mall I consider: the piece itself, the fact that the dealer had to drive somewhere to obtain the item, the dealer had to clean the item and is this a piece I can cherish long term.
The workers are so hospitable and very polite.
Upon my return home to Tampa, I could not get the image of a solid brass ornate double inkwell/letter-holder out of my mind. Sounds crazy but my "heart couldn't let it go", if you will. I knew I had to get up the next morning and begin my hour long drive at 9am, arrive when the store opened at 10am and make sure I get that beautiful piece in my home to hopefully become an heirloom.
I adore this place. There is something for everyone. I will defiantly be back and will also refer...
Read moreWow, So much to see. Traditions Antique Mall is a feast for the eyes. Heading north on I-75 in Florida for a road trip up the east coast, I decided to get off the interstate and take a few less traveled US routes, like US 301 and US 441. Just before reaching US 301, I stumbled upon Traditions Antique Mall. With what appears to be an endless amount of vendors with an even more endless amount of things to see, touch and purchase, I was able to pull myself away after over an hour and a half of pure bliss. The Mall is staffed by friendly, knowledgeable vendors, each taking turns to run the store. Each vendor area is unique in its design and layout and choice of how to display its items. Some vendors have a theme, and some do not, making it an incredibly stimulating sight. After I continued on my way, a couple of items that I had seen kept creeping into my thoughts. On my return trip, I stopped again, spending an equal amount of time and purchasing even more treasures! This is truly a wonderful store. I can't wait to take my daughter with...
