DG Market — Local services in Williamsburg Township

I really like Dollar General. Each one I have visited has a slightly different problem. This particular location in Williamsburg, has an a couple of issues. The main issue that causes myself and I'm sure many others grief , is the milk situation. They very rarely have it in stock. I have complained to the staff and management. Their response is, "truck comes on Tuesday." They get it in on Tuesday & it's gone by Thursday. Not sure if it's an ordering issue or that they only get 1 truck and don't have space to back stock. There are several other items that frequently run out, but milk is the main issue there. The other issue is blocking the aisle. It has been months , literally months since I have been in a few of their aisles. They get a truck, put the products on dolly's and block off 2-3 aisle completely. This is a continuous circle. Their household goods & I think their seasonal aisles have been blocked around the clock for over month. Complaints have been made , they basically said tuff with a smile. Now all that out of the way & this is the friendliest, helpful, customer oriented store I think I have ever been to. Honest. They always great you, smile , ask if you need anything, and are always willing to help at any time. Their employees are definitely top notch. So thank you VERY MUCH for that . It truly does mean quite a lot. So I guess a 4 star would be...

So yesterday my daughter and grandson went into the Williamsburg Ohio location and stopped in for a minute to pick up Band-Aids. Her son didn't have shoes with him and she is 9 months pregnant. The old lady in that store that works there said your son doesn't have shoes on. My daughter apologizes sincerely and explained her situation and told her son to come to her and the lady there snatches his arm and pulls him into the isle and says, "YOUR NOT GOING ANYWHER" ! my daughter said get your hands off him and let him go! The lady said you need to pick him up! My daughter responds that she couldn't , that she was 9 months pregnant and he was too heavy. The lady responds "SO"!.. My daughter being in her condition did not want a confrontation with this lady so they proceeded to walk out the door with the lady behind them screaming , cussing and yelling at my daughter, my daughter looks back and says "LADY WOULD YOU JUST LEAVE US ALONE"! Just doesn't make sense with this type of customer service. She could have offered to get a cart for my daughter and offer to help put him in there for her. I do plan on contacting corporate. Someone drank the wrong cool aide that day, but she certainly messed with the wrong young lady. By the way my daughter did file a police report against her. This was the first time I've ever been in this Dollar General, and I'm not impressed. It wasn't the items they sell or the condition of the store itself. It was purely because I forgot my card after having picked out my items. It's been a long week and I've been very forgetful. I didn't mean to inconvenience anyone, but the gentleman who checked me out made me feel as if I had. I had to reiterate multiple times that I had forgotten it and once he finally heard me, he grabbed the lufas I had picked out and threw them down on the ground. And proceeded to angrily put everything else down on the ground. The manager was called over to void out the first item he'd scanned and I over heard him muttering I'd forgotten my card. At this point I needed to leave before I caused a scene. I dont ever want to be a Karen, but how I was treated was rude and unprofessional and I don't know if I'll ever come back to this...
