Fantastic hometown library. Ms. Pat is a treasure. The entire staff is helpful & very friendly. You can always find a computer available if you need one. They do have laptops available. Great children's area with nice book selection. Decent adult selection and what they don't have they can order. The CD/DVD selection seems large but we really don't use it so I don't know how UTD the artists/titles are. The new tables & chairs are nice and comfortable. It can get loud inside with the middle & HS kids who come in to "hang out" however if you let a staff member know it is bothersome they will address the situation right away. We are in several times a week to do elementary school HW & the noise level can be frustrating however I'm noticing all libraries in Clermont County are loud. It would be nice if the adults had a comfortable space with soft chairs, maybe a couch & coffee table like they used to have. That has now been put in the YA area and is always occupied by teenagers. The only other 2 soft seat chairs are in the children's section which doesn't offer any quiet reading time. Its a large space and if properly laid out this library could accommodate a lot more. Overall one of my top 4 libraries in Clermont County. They also have a copy machine, printers, fax service, pocket wifi and an extensive...
Read moreNice people and clean facilities but DON'T USE THEIR WI-FI. The system they implement changes and locks the browser safe searching in you device. I used my android phone and now I can't access FB or YT or even other sites that use https. Don't know why the library has to completely change and lock you personal settings, even if you are no longer using their Wi-Fi and many miles away from the library itself and not on any other Wi-Fi. This only happens when I use the library wi-fi and no other public Wi-Fi. I would understand if it's just to protect them but when my phone disconnects from the library wi-fi I should, once again, have complete control over my own safe search settings. (I can't even get on church websites or my employer's website to check for events or check my work schedule. * Google and you phone carrier can't do anything to reset the settings, they told me so. The library is in charge of all of the because it's their Wi-Fi security and they set it up.* So, DON'T USE THE WI-FI AT THE LIBRARY, SAVE YOURSELF FROM THE HEADACHE OF TRYING TO GET...
Read moreWe are lifelong residents of Clermont County. This summer, we have made it a goal to visit each branch of the Clermont County Public Library. This branch packs a lot of punch for what appears to be a small building from the exterior. The staff here is very friendly and I observed them recruiting for the Summer Reading Program. The architecture is pretty, and the sections of shelving are neatly organized. The Children's Area is small but that was no problem for my children! The only thing I noticed in this branch that was bothersome was how well the sound traveled from one side to the other. I don't think anybody was speaking above a normal "inside voice" level, but I could clearly hear conversations that were across...
