We had a party of 10 to celebrate my mother's birthday because she loves this place. I don't normally visit this place unless I'm craving grilled tuna. Well, on this visit we had a very friendly waitress. We're thankful that at the last minute she remembered some specials not listed anywhere and told us about them. It was a trio of meats, and about 5 of us ordered steak, pork chops & a skewer of shrimp. Two of us requested extra seasonings on our steaks, but my steak was still bland to me. Everyone has their own tastes, but I'm was not impressed with my steak at all. Everyone else in our party said their's was great. The last steak I got from Deadwood and Shamrock had more flavor to me.
This is a nice restaurant and has the best salad bar in town, which leads to my biggest complaint. I forgot that I'd heard they had downsized the plates at the salad bar. What used to be a full sized plate is now a saucer. I asked our waitress if I could get a regular sized plate for my salad, and she said yes. She could give me one. However, after waiting about 20 minutes and reminding her about it, she never gave any of us a full sized plate. Therefore, we gave up and proceeded to fix our salads on the provided saucers. Our complaint is that it's hard to add all of the desired ingredients from the bar on a saucer and be able to mix & cut it up without spilling it. I used 3 saucers, and everyone else kept making repeat trips to the bar, fixing 2 saucers at a time while complaining about having to use such a small plate. I used 2 saucers on my first trip and when going up to get some items on my 3rd saucer, I laughed to myself as I remembered reading a post online. Another customer protested (silently) against the shrinking plate by continuing to attempt to put the same amount of salad on the smaller plate as he was accustomed to putting on the regular sized plate. This, in return, led him to spill food on his way back to the table. I pondered following in his steps but refused to drop to that level
The main thing about this experience was that we made my...

Read moreWe were at Ribeye's on Monday night,1.24.2022, with a party of 6 friends. 4 of this group have been many times previously, with great experiences every time. The wait staff was friendly and great as usual. We all ordered steak, because that is why we were there. We were all served at the same time, but unfortunately, one person of our party had to send their steak back due to a distinct unpleasant odor, which we all could smell when it was served! 5 of us continued to eat our meals while he waited patiently for another steak. We had all finished eating by the time he received his new steak. At this point, he did not have much of an appetite for the new steak after remembering the smell from the first one, so he took most of it home in a box. He and his wife shared the $60 ribeye meal. This ordeal really affected our whole table, because we had to eat without him. The staff was apologetic for this problem, but all in our party thought it was very unusual for the staff to never offer to deduct the cost of his meal from their bill. We know these are hard times for restaurants and some are struggling, but on this night this restaurant did not reflect their usual...
