Grant County Fair — Local services in Williamstown

First the rides don't open until 6 pm - WHAT?!?!?! WHY??? How stupid is that? Also, when the fair first gets to town, the first weekend the rides are not open. They don't open until Monday. Then close on Saturday. Stupid!! Seems like there should be two weekends worth of rides. People have so many other commitments these days and the kids still wanna go to the fair to ride the rides. My daughter was in band camp (8:30 am - 9:00pm) all week long. She got out early on Friday and went that night and again the next day (Saturday). Need to consider letting pageant participants and an adult in for cheaper or for free. It was $75 just to get 5 of us into the fairgrounds. (3 adults, 2 small children) We spent $200 for 2+ hours sitting at our daughters pageant, then food, 2 fish games, and a couple little kid rides (which was included in the entrance fee). Thankful for the fair and all the work that is put into it, I would just think the taxes we pay would go toward some portion of this. If it does, I apologize. Everything is just getting...
