Batory Foods — Local services in Wilmington

Arrived at 9:30 for a 1:00 appointment. Told me to return at 12:00 to check in. Ok, that’s a reasonable request. Come back at 12:00 and they assign me a door with a trailer already on it. They said it should only be a little bit. 1:00 rolls around and door still occupied. Finally get a call at 1:15 and they assign me a different dock door that’s been open for 45 minutes.

Get the green light at 3:15 so I walk down to the office as instructed for my paperwork. They say they couldn’t close my door from the inside so I have to walk back, pull up, close the door so they can seal it then come back. Finally leave at 3:30.

Their organization and communication is very poor. Everyone seems to move very lethargically. No sense of urgency...

Read reviews and felt very positive about arriving early for delivery. Well, don't believe what you read. Arrived at 8am. Lady was not friendly at all and told me to come back at my scheduled time of 1pm as they were very busy. I tried to explain to her that I had another load on the other side of Chicago to pick up, but she told me that wasn't her problem. While I did not expect to get in right away, I am looking at only 2 trucks in the docks. Had I not believed reviews I would not have started my clock. Now I've lost my load I was to pu later today.

UPDATE...about 10 trucks have come and gone in the last 4.5 hours and at most have only seen 3 trucks at docks. Too busy to work me in....hah! Will never accept another delivery...

Checked in 06:30 Checked out 11:00… got here 06:25 checked in then got a door right away.. they said they will call when they are done..I was waiting on a call from the receiving office but then the broker called asking if I delivered the load yet… I told him how long I’ve been here then I guess he called the customer then all of a sudden my light turned green.. I walked in and asked about my dock door they said “oh we’re sorry” smh.. I’m not mad.. that was just unprofessional.. hopefully next time it will be a better...
