First: We arrived in the emergency at 3:45am. Upon checking in, the front desk people are not welcoming. while the nurse did the assessment, she said she'll give my son a medication after finding the temperature result of 39.5C but as soon as she asked me to lay him(my son) on the bed she just directly gave the medication without telling me how its done. As a nurse you are responsible to explain the route of the medication, under the 10 rights of administering the medication, the patient or the gurdian or parents has the right to know and you should explain how you are going to give the medication since you already told us what kind of medication you will give. I was surprised that you just gave a suppository on my son without even telling us, and when i told you that you could have told me so that my son will be prepared you just answered me with he is a baby he doesnt know. What kind of ethics do you have? Is that how you are taught? You should relearn the 10 rights of administering medication.
Second: We were in the room and asked us to wait for the doctor. 30 minutes passed a nurse came and check again my son's temperature and told us the doctor will see us shortly. Almost 2 hours passed no doctor came. How do you call it an emergency if you let the patient wait that long? My son was crying non stop because he is in pain and has a fever of 39.5C. We ended up leaving the facility, we dont want to waste or time waiting for nobody. And on our way out we told the nurses no one came, well guess what, they just dont care. Looks like they are even happy that we left. And my question is, how are you going to charge our insurance? No...
Read moreDo not even try to go here if you have a child emergency. Took me 8 and half hours wait at middle of the night to see doctor. The worst part is not the wait time, it is how cold people works here. At 3 hours mark, oh I see people waiting for 12 hours. You can go to other hopital if you want. Oh you cant park here, you need park in emergency parking. Oh you need wear mask. Oh you can not bring your healthy child here, you need wait in the car. They expect my bigger kid to wait 8 hours in my car. Thanks to EV i can fo that but not every family has one, you just risk yourself let kid sleep in the car with engine on.
I can understand Hosipal are busy because different reasons, but give people a care, let people know ther ETA. In the middle of the the long wait, try to ask if you need any help, maybe bring a blanket for the kid to nap. If doctor is busy, have a nurse take a look first? I am giving one point to one guards here, even they make much less than the rest, he talk to you like he need help with his heart. Not some...
