Very disappointed with our recent visit to the radiology department. Called the department to see if I could bring my daughter in earlier and they said yes they could see her. We arrived with only one family in the waiting area. After waiting for 45 minutes the lady at the front desk said there was an issue with the order and they called the pcp to send a new one. They called to schedule why would the script not be checked before the phone call. Another 35 minutes go by and 4 other family’s come and go back. The lady at the desk says oh they didn’t come out for you yet. I said no and I am leaving. My daughter is having back pain and has sat an hour and 20 minutes in hard chairs. She sled me to wait and went into the back and comes back out and proceeds to tell me that she can’t find anyone. I told her again I was leaving because my daughter was having pain and I had a three year old that was also tired of waiting. As I walked down the hall an X-ray tech was calling for my daughter. I was already on the phone with my pcp. She said she could take my daughter back and reached for the wagon. I told her that she was not seeing the little one that the patient was 17. Our son is only 2 months old, and thanks to their incredible care, his feet already look amazing. Both times we had to take our son it was a wonderful experience. The second time we had a long wait in the ER that was followed up with a two night stay to monitor our son who was only 2 at the time. Both myself and my husband said it felt more like staying at a nice hotel rather than a hospital.Thankfully it wasn’t anything serious with our son but just being able to both be comfortable and have good food to eat while we were there made the stress of it all so much easier to handle!
