I have been a member at this Planet Fitness for a few years, which now I deeply regret. Many times I found the gym restroom to be completely filthy even after the renovation this problem was still noticeable at this gym.
Since COVID-19 started I had to call several times for reimbursement even after I requested that my account be frozen until I am sure that the virus is no longer a threat. After being told I would not be charged anything, my account was charged again For the yearly deduction of $39. I feel this is completely unfair since I have not use this facility in over a year. After Contacting The corporate office, they informed me that this is handled on the local level since it is a franchise. So, after talking to the manager on the phone, he told me there was nothing that could be done about this charge in if I wanted to cancel my membership I need to come in to the facility.
I drove a distance of 15 miles in order to get to this gym through the snow and when I talk to this manager the first thing he said is can this wait… Terrible customer service. After explaining that this couldn’t wait and I would like a reimbursement since I have not use the gym, he said that I cannot reimburse you since this is a standard charge for all members.
If you’re not aware that this franchise will not reimburse you, I hope this message will help you to cancel if need be before the yearly deadline. I will also encourage you to check your account and make sure that you were not being charge monthly fees if you have requested for your account to be frozen.
If I ever choose to use a planet fitness again, it most certainly will not be at this location. Throughout the years I have been a planet fitness member. At various locations I’ve had great experiences. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the location in Wilmington Massachusetts. I truly hope they do better not only with customer service, but also with cleaning their facility.

   Read moreIt's very disappointing they don't have a scale. Every gym I have ever been a member of has had a scale until this one. I had a significant amount of weight loss over a period of time. I thought I was losing weight but with no scale at the gym I was not able to confirm it until my annual physical. My doctor said the weight loss was alarming and ordered a full battery of tests. I wish I had known sooner. Here's a list of diseases associated with weight changes.

According to google the no scale policy at Planet Fitness has something to do with the judgment free zone. The reader can make their own call as to whether this is a sensible policy that advocates for good health.
As for the gym itself, it's adequate. You can get a workout in but you're probably only going there to save a few bucks and/or convenience rather than the quality of the gym. There is no bench press or squat rack but plenty of dumbbells and cardio machines. The staff is friendly...
   Read moreThis place was great when it was 24 hours. For people who work early (or late) this was the best option. When Covid put restrictions on everything they understandably went to "temporary" hours of 5am to 10pm. Now the restrictions have been lifted for quite a while, but the hours stay the same. Even with a sign on the entrance that says they're open 24 hours. Now the gym is crowded at 5am (people waiting at the door) with members who used to be able to get there much earlier to workout before heading to work. Now the 4am crowd is there with the 5am crowd. Creating a cluster F when trying to get a bench or machine. Combine this with the fact that at least one shower is usually out of order can make the situation even worse.
