If I could give them no stars I would. I went there last winter to buy Honda snowblower. There was no other customers in the store at the time and 1 woman behind the counter. When I asked about them she had someone from the parts department come out to assist me. He actually steered me away from the Honda to a Toro. Really!? a Toro is better than a Honda? Now I had done my research and had a pretty good idea what I wanted. They didn't have the one I wanted in stock and told me only the manager was the only one who knew the price and when they would be getting more in, but she was out to lunch and they didn't know when she would be back. So I left my number and waited. I phoned them about an hour before they closed that day to speak to the manager and they told me they gave her my message, but I couldn't speak to her because she was there but not available. I asked if they could please have her call me back, but since it was a Friday, it would more likely be Monday when she could call me back. Well, I never did receive a phone call and they seemed perfectly fine to lose a $3500.00 + sale.
I never did buy a snowblower that year and ended up paying someone to clear my snow last winter. I want to buy a Honda this year and the closest dealers are in Auburn and Fairfield, which is about 30 miles to both. Funny how this company is not listed as a dealer on the Honda website. I live 6 miles away from RS Osgood and had considered going back to them, but after reading the recent reviews, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Nice to know this business is doing so well they don't care about customers. Good luck in the future when you have no business to run. Thanks to the people giving honest reviews. I'm sure you've saved me a lot of headaches by not buying from this company. I'll be making the trek to a...
Read moreWe made the drive over from Industry ready to spend 30K. We literally stood in the lot looking at sub compacts and compacts (of which there were very few) for 35-40 minutes. Employees walked in and out several times and didn't so much as glance at us. Just astounding! We wanted to walk away then but need a tractor so we went inside. That didn't change a thing! People just rolled on past us without so much as a nod! We stood right in front of the owners office who saw us several times and said nothing! The lady at the counter spent 20 minutes easy chatting with a customer about family stuff that was inquiring about a part! NOT BUYING A PART, ASKING ABOUT A PART! No "we'll be right with you" or "can we help you with anything" just nothing! Zero! We finally grabbed a few brochures and walked TF OUT!!! Man things have changed in Maine since I was a kid. Every mom and pop shop used to be eager for your business! Now they just look at the clock, counting the minutes and seconds til 5!! Either someone is making entirely to much money to care, or they're just flat out lazy! The later would be my guess! Sadly our advice is to make the drive to one of the bigger dealers. They, without question, treat their customers waaaaaay better, and are on their games! RS Osgood could care less if come to them, use a bigger dealer, or hell, buy a Deere!!...
Read moreThey used to be very good service, but they have changed. They have had my tractor for two weeks again! Putting another gas gauge and putting a snowblower on, I am disabled and have no other way to clean out this snow that we are getting today. I am getting very frustrated with this new glide steer tractor that i bought in june. Its been back there 6 times now. They never return phone calls to me. When I purchased the new tractor in june of this year, they delivered it to me with the gas gauge not working and there was a hose that kept blowing off leaking all the hydraulic fluid. They are now saying that everything is my fault that theres nothing wrong with the tractor! It's all in the operator and they were very sarcastic and rude to us! They knew that we had no one to clean out the 6 inches of snow we had gotten, but they said they would not deliver my tractor until I went and paid for the snowblower. It had already been agreed to me going...
