I recently flew from Colorado and purchased a used vehicle from this place and all I have to say is I won’t be purchasing from here again.
Upon setting up the deal, things seemed great! My salesperson (Colton) was super nice and willing to send me any info I needed on the car prior to setting up a day that I’d arrive and take it home.
After we agreed on numbers, Colton sends me a video of the car inside of their shop. In the video he points out a quarter sized dent that I wasn’t aware of prior to agreeing to numbers. I brushed it off because I knew I was buying a used car and that that wasn’t that big of a deal.
We then setup a time for me to pickup the vehicle. I told Colton my only availability was Sundays or Mondays and knowing that the dealership is closed on Sundays I told him I’d be willing to fly in Sunday and pickup Monday morning. He then told me he could actually meet me at the nearest airport (Pierre) on Sunday so I could just drive directly home that evening. Which I was very happy to do cause it’d save me on hotel cost and I’d get home quicker.
Once I landed in Pierre at 4PM, I expected to have him already there waiting with the car so I could do an inspection on it, sign the papers, and be on my way. However that wasn’t the case, I ended up waiting 2 hours at the airport until it was dark out.
He arrives at 6PM and obviously I’m already upset he’s late. Upon looking over the car I locate another dent on the rear passenger door I wasn’t aware of either. On top of that he claimed the rear passenger tire wasn’t holding air that well. So I told him to call his manager and take off another $500. After the call, he comes back and says the manager is not willing to do that because they have 3-4 other parties interested in the car.
Now I was a car salesman for 5 years I know that there wasn’t another person looking at that car the next day because well if that car was so hot, then how come they couldn’t sell it within the last 5-6 months that they had it. But because I was annoyed with already being late, not bringing any of stuff to stay at a hotel (clothes, chargers, etc), and then the fear of not knowing where I was going to stay for the night and the next available flight back home. I ended up just saying whatever and signed.
Well a week has gone by since I took the car home, and I discover scratches on the rear bumper after I washed it from the snow and dirt I wasn’t aware of either. So all n all I’d say stay away from this dealership there are plenty of other great dealers still out there but I wouldn’t say this...
Read moreMade a deal on a car that had been sitting on the lot for months on a Friday afternoon. Was planning on driving down there to pick it up, but they told me to wait as they needed to order a windshield that had been broken in a storm. At noon on the following Monday (about 4 business hours), they tell me that the vehicle I had made a deal on and wanted to come pick up, but couldn't as it wasn't ready, had been sold...So, I had to wait to for the car to get repaired before I could buy it, but someone else could purchase it with the broken window. Even if nothing shady was going on, and I think there probably was, that's still not an acceptable way to do business.
Edit: "We had no consideration from you in any way to "hold" the vehicle". Except for me telling the Sales rep i was coming down on that Friday to pick it up with cash in hand? Followed by him telling me to wait until you ordered a window replacement? The rep texted me telling me he'd let me know when the window was replaced. Next, the vehicle was sold 4 business hours later? Did you not read what I wrote? Do you want me to post a picture of the text chain? You're doubling down on your mistake instead of apologizing. I don't know what really happened, but the story I was told doesn't make any sense. The vehicle had been sitting on your lot for 3 months and suddenly it sells in 4 business hours? Just tell the truth. I'm not as frustrated about losing out on the vehicle as I am being treated with such little regard. My wife and I took days off of work so that we could come and get the vehicle when it was ready. This will make it that much more difficult for us to find a different one. Your team handled this situation really poorly and you deserve the poor rating. Learn from the mistake instead of attempting to lie about what...
Read moreThis one star isn’t deserved. I took my 2020 GMC ACADIA to the service shop. My car had an Action Required message that said Steering Assist Reduced Drive With Care. My temperature gauge also was not working. The day I took it in of course everything seemed to be working but I decided that I better get it checked anyway. They “ran” a diagnostic on my car and told me that I needed a new cooling sensor. They repaired my car and cleared all codes. I was more than willing to pay the $880 to fix it because I trusted that the verified mechanics would do a good job. I picked my car up and drove it less than 200 miles and the same message popped up, temperature gauge was not working and my check engine light came on. I took it back this morning and they “ran” another diagnostic and told me that it was something else and that it would cost me $798 to repair. They didn’t answer me when I asked why that wasn’t caught the first time. They didn’t offer an apology or a refund. Instead they told me that it would cost me another $798 to repair. I am so unsatisfied with the mechanics there. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THERE TO...
