A BIG thank you to Texas Ranch Outfitters. I needed a specific ammo and stopped by to see if they had it in stock or could order it for me. I left my name/number and what I was looking for with Sherri expecting a call back in a couple of days. Less than 24 hours later I had a return phone call. (Bonus: I did not have to follow up - they called me back) - They had found what I needed, and I could pick it up the next day at a price which is less than the big box stores. Top notch service, quick turnaround, and a great attitude while helping me out.
I love the idea of supporting a local, family owned business. I referred several out of town family members to TRO to buy guns and/or ammo while they were visiting. Matt and Sherri are all about customer service and going the extra mile to get them what they needed before they had to leave town.
They are also very helpful to new female shooters, assisting them with what firearm would best suit their specific needs, answering any questions, and hooking them up with the info and contacts for the local women’s shooting groups. Read moreThey DO NOT stand behind the products they sell. Bought a high-end rechargeable flashlight that did not work correctly out of the box. The flashlight itself worked with normal batteries, but not with the rechargeables it came with and wanted. However, when I went to return it, they would not give me my money back 2 days after I bought it. The lady said, "We're not Wal-Mart or a rental company." The Karen treated me like I was a low life looking to use something only to return it. They offered me a new battery, but I did not want the flashlight after it did not work the first time. She also lied to American Express and said the flashlight worked just fine. Buyer beware of their return policy that is in fine print on the bottom of their receipt. It's a shame, my family and I support small business to the fullest.
Edit: I did use it hunting with regular batteries, the rechargeable battery did not charge even though the light came on and had two other people try to charge it after it DID NOT work. Was not rude, if so, please explain. Just wanted my money back. AMEX ruled in your favor because of the fine print on the receipt regarding your return policy that is not made visible within your store. I will use my store credit when I get back...

In the near decade since, they have never wavered in their commitment to be good people. It is a 3 hour drive for me to visit their store and not once have I ever been treated poorly.
