Neon Moon Restaurant and Social Club — Restaurant in Winnsboro

We had just recently returned to this restaurant and thought we would give it a second chance since the first visit was not very great. So we have been back 3 x now and it has been awesome. Except for tonight. I wanted to order a Patty melt. Not a hamburger, but a Patty Melt. I saw where the hamburger section had a note under it to add .75 for cheese and extra also for any of numerous add on's. They also had a sandwich section where they had BLT, chicken sand, philly steak sand and Patty Melts. There was no note under that section where you had to pay for cheese especially when its suppose to come on the sandwich anyway. "Patty Melt" Melt means something has to melt. The ingredients/recipe for a patty melt is hamburger patty, grilled onions, swiss cheese, on rye bread. But they wanted to charge me .75 for the cheese that is suppose to be on the sandwich already. I tried to discuss this with the head waitress and she had to go ask the cook, well the cook argued with me also and told me that a patty melt did not come with cheese and I had to pay separately for the cheese. It doesn't make since to me! So yes I got upset and yes I yelled and I guess if I wanted it that bad I was told to just pay the .75 cents and I could have it on my Patty melt. So when I calmed down a min I ordered a taco salad and it was very good. Homemade taco shell and all the fix'ns. But of course I dont understand why I had to pay .75 cents for something that was suppose to come with cheese anyway. ...

The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the food was ok and the waitress friendly. I took my kids to the Friday night karaoke for my dauggters birthday and it was awful all because of the a-hole running to booth. We called to ask what time it began and was told 8:30. When we got there we were told 9:00. This guy walked around until close to 10:00 before actually starting to put on music. He yelled at me because his instructions for turning in the music were vague and actually slapped a card out of the birthday girls hand and when it fell onto another card said that she had messed everything up. He constantly disappeared and left the radio on. At one point I saw him after a 20 plus minute absence yelling at the cashier. I talked to one of the owners and she talked to him but the behavior continued. It was supposed to last until 12:00. My daughter turned in a card at 11:00 and he ignored it. At 11:40 he announced he was done. I asked if she was going to get to do her last song and he got a nasty tone and told me "No, I am done". I talked to the owner again and she said that he was not supposed to end as long as a request was pending. I told her it was there for almost 45 minutes and he crumbled it and got nasty but she never did get to do her song. Thank you jackass for making my 13 yr old daughters...

The people are friendly, which is why I gave 1 star. The food is gross and expensive for what you actually get. This is the 2nd time my family and I have been there and we wanted to give it another try. We were told to find a seat and a server would come find us. The servers were all over the place, most likely due to not having an organized seating situation. It took 10 minutes for someone to come take our order, by that time we knew what we wanted and she just wanted to get out drinks and go. We said we were ready to order, not wanting to wait longer. It was around 5pm on a Wednesday so not too busy. We ordered a beer each and she came back in 10 minutes with a water. When she asked if we wanted water when we first ordered, we said no. I ordered the fajitas and they were not fresh. The steak was dry and chewy. The chicken was bland. The rice tasted like it was boiled with a dirty sock. 🤮 The sour cream was watery. The onions were not even peeled all the way and I was unable to chew them. Not to mention the server didn't come back regularly and if so we would have ordered another beer. I will not eat here again and would not recommend this place for a place to go eat. No hard feelings,...
