Thumb Cellular — Local services in Winsor Township

My phone got smashed(first time ever) and I tried to get a new one. They told me to get off there plan because I live out of the area now and I'm costing them money. So that is what I did. They did NOT tell me that there would be a $500 early activation fee if I did. This has been a wonderful company to deal with up until now. I've been a customer since cell phones became a thing. I moved out of the area and they were still great. Well at lease all the employees are great. The policies where they tell you to find a new provider in my area and charge me $500 to do it is absolutely greedy and dishonest. Since they have a monopoly in the Thumb I guess they can do...

Im a flight attendant now. Most of the time I have no service to make a call or even send a text here in the US out of state. Service is just awful. I try to call for shuttles and am forced to wait hours because my call or text never goes thru. Ill be switching to Tmobile when my contract runs out in October. I cannot be stuck places or have no service in and out of this country. I have no service in Canada at all so I'm sure it'll be the same anywhere out of the US. Really need to do better. This company is ruining it for everyone in the thumb area. At&t and Verizon can't put towers in that area because this little rinky dink company own the rights. The signal sucks in that area and thumb cell has crappy choice of phones and the rates are aweful if you leave there area.
