Absolutely terrible customer service since it was sold to the new owner a few months ago. Not even close to the same service I used to receive in College Park. I wasn't offered a drink upon arrival like I used to be at the College Park location. They used to take you into a dim lit room and put a Shea mask treatment on your hair and a warm towel and leave you for a few minutes to relax with every service. This was not done at Winter Springs after being sold to the new owner. Not only was I not given the same treatment as I used to but my hair turned out absolutely terrible! I came in for a color correction and was very clear that I wanted all of the warm Orange color out of my hair and was open to going darker or lighter in order to fix it. I was given full highlights and a toner which did not cover the orange like I requested. I came in again and she just put another toner all over which just made the blonde a very Ashy greenish color and still my roots were Orange. When I expressed that I was still unhappy with the orange in my hair, the new owner denied fixing my hair and said that I should have asked for a root touch up when I first came in. I told her I'm not familiar with salon lingo or what specific service I needed to cover the orange, I just asked for the orange to be covered and trusted the stylist to fix it. So $240 later (with tip) I am left with orange roots and a terrible brassy and ashy blonde color. I was then told that I was being difficult and I was going to have to pay more if I wanted the orange covered. I used to love this place for being so different and making me feel so relaxed and like I was getting pampered but now it's just like a typical low end hair salon where they rush you in and out of the chair as quickly as possible and are unprofessional and rude. Do not go here if you're expecting it to be like the old box office hair experience. Beware of reviews saying it's a wonderful Salon from a few months ago because that's not the way it is now. I'm sad that my favorite...
Read moreDo not waste your money! I was absolutely astonished by my experience with Vie at Box Office Hair. I was referred to go here, since I am new to the area. I just had a baby and was wanting to help my confidence by getting my hair done, and going back to being a full blonde. I showed pictures and was assured that Vie knew what I wanted and would do it (highlights, lowlights for Dimension and toney to bring my shade to blonde all arouns). I paid $240 and opted to actually NOT get my hair blowdried because I was told during the service it would be an addition $60. I waited the intended 3 days to wash and do my hair, and was so disappointed to see that my hair didnt actually lighten, just highlights in the dark hair (not what I wanted or we had discussed). When I called to discuss, I could never reach her, so I sent a message on instagram with photos to hopefully get ahold of her. She called and said she didnt want to discuss on phone, that I would need to come in. Over a period of time, in which my newborn was sick and had to go to the hospital, we kept playing phone tag. When I finally got childcare secured for my 2 kids, I called to book a time to come by, and was told by Vie that too much time had passed and if I wanted anything âfixedâ that I would need to pay full price. I told her about our phone tag, and my baby being hospitalized, but she didnt care and even expressed that I was the first person to ever not like their hair in 3 years, and that the money I spent on my services was actually low in comparison to her other clients. She also denied seeing my photos I had attached in my instagram message, to help document and portray what I was seeing. I am a mother of 2, and I rarely put any time and attention on myself. That was a lot of money for me to try to gain some confidence postpartum, and when I told her all this she just said that she couldnt help me and I needed to seek elsewhere for my hair needs. So sad. What a waste of time,...
Read moreI have a baby and don't have much time to get my hair cut so last week I was looking to just run out and get a quick cut. I found a Groupon for this salon and read the reviews which looked okay so I went, thinking I'd get a trim and shape up to my current cut. Salon is nice, it was dead, I was the only customer. Angie at the front desk is cordial, had me fill out a client card etc. Katie was my stylish, she was nice and seemed like she knew what to do when I showed her my hair and a picture of how the layers should look. I also mentioned the back tends to be weighty so if she could thin it out a little it would lay better. The wash took quite a while because they put a conditioning treatment on. By the time I was in the chair it was already 25 minutes into the appt. She cut my hair a little wet then proceeded to apply 3-4 of the "recommended products" and then round brush dried my hair and started cutting and thinning. When she was done it looked okay, and VERY flat but I wasn't alarmed as I attributed it to all the product that was put on it. Whenever I get a blow out my hair looks flat so I just left. When I got home my husband remarked, "What did they do to your hair?" I told him she applied 4 different products and it would have more body after I washed it. I washed it the following day and noticed it felt like I had almost no hair, literally I used to have a 2 in" diameter pony tail and now its like 3/4 of an inch. I was alarmed. I tried styling my hair and the layers look like a cross between a mullet and Mrs. Brady from the Brady Bunch. Seriously bad. I talked to a few stylists since, one suggested hair extensions to add hair back in! The other one said she could cut off length and that would create more volume since the ends are so thin, it would just be removing the wisp. I would not recommend this salon and...
