Señor Tequila Mexican Grill Winter Springs — Restaurant in Winter Springs

By far the WORST customer service I have ever received. The food is over priced for the small portions you receive. $11 for a taco salad smaller than you'd get from Taco Bell. I saw my server when he dropped off my drink. My food was delivered to me by the lady who referred to herself as the manager. My server never came back to check on me or ask about my food. I waited over 25 minutes for someone to return with my check. I could wait no longer because I had to go back to work. I pulled enough cash for food and an undeserved tip and approached the manager. I said I'm sorry but I haven't seen my server since he dropped off my drink and I have to go back to work. She responded in a very loud and rude tone that she was busy and I had to wait. I felt I had waited long enough for these people who obviously can't handle a moderate lunch rush and repeated to her that I had to go back to work. I set my money down on the bar next to her and left. Of course I stewed over the treatment and service I received and decided to call the restaurant and try to speak to another manager. The same lady "manager" answered the phone and insisted up on taking my call. I asked her if she received my money and I told her that her behavior was rude. She "apologized" for her rudeness but then proceeded to tell me that I should have continued to wait at my table for my server! WHAT? I then explained to her that a server is supposed to check in on their tables within three to five minutes of the food being delivered and that I waited 25 minutes and finished my food and drink and never saw my server. Food terrible and service very bad!! My review is based on two separate experiences, one weekend lunch visit and one week day at dinner. Food overpriced and very poor quality! Serving staff seemed nice but totally ignored me and my children. The restaurant may be decorated nice and clean but that means nothing if the food is below par and customer service is BAD!! I am a major Mexican food lover and this place was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had! I don’t even think they should call it a Mexican restaurant! It was not a true Mexican menu! It was just SO bad! It felt so bland! Like they didn’t even attempt to try! I cannot comment on the drinks or the alcoholic beverages as I do not drink. The music was so loud my kids wanted to leave and both times would not eat their food. The second visit here when I received my food the meat smells bad and sour! So I declined it and asked it be removed form the check. The owner was present and I asked her for my check. I told her we wanted to leave and we had been waiting for our check. She looked bored and bothered by my request. She didn’t follow up with me or ask me if we enjoyed our meal. She seemed bothered to get my child a glass of water as well. I am not sure why? Bad day? Bad attitude? We remained polite none the less. I still tipped waitress even though we had been ignored. We have been coming here for years. Our first time here we had the fire mango Rita enchiladas, and we always come back for the same. Food is always good and quick, but the past few years the “bartenders” can’t seem to make the drink right. It specifically states on menu that it has 100 silver tequila. But they put in whatever alcohol they want. For nearly $18 you expect a decent tequila. We sit at the bar so we can ask for the right liquor. This last time over the weekend ( might be our last ever sadly) the waitress/ bartender started to use Jose Cuervo gold - I nicely asked for the 1800 silver as listed on menu for that drink because I get headaches from dark liquor. She said it’s extra. I let her know it’s listed in the drink ingredients and we come regularly. She said they were out and used a house white tequila. She then put in a dark alcohol I asked what it was as she was blending and it was orange liquor? Not listed or ever used. I said it’s usually mango purée.. and she said she adds that last and reblenddd it with mango and ice. Drink was not good. Tasted like orange not the spicy mango we come for.
