This is NOT an actual Verizon store and they will charge you $100 per line on top of whatever you buy from Verizon. The good reviews are likely from people who don't even realize they were just ripped off. Do NOT use this store – buy online or go to the actual Verizon store in Reading to save that money.
For context – I went into this store to buy 2 smartphones, 2 wireless plans, and FIOS home internet. I was not informed or aware that this was not an actual Verizon store, nor was I informed that they would charge me $200 for normal customer service. In fact, those charges were presented as typical charges, but actual Verizon said that those are not normal.
Further, I didn't even get my money's worth because they messed up the account setup in Verizon, causing me to spend hours on the phone with Verizon's customer service trying to figure out why I couldn't get my military discount, AND they didn't process anything to trade in my old phones, meaning I was on the hook for $2,000 in phone purchases had I not caught the issue. Read moreThis Verizon vendor has a bunch of scammers. Went with my mom to trade in our phones for iPhone13s and the sales rep (Robbie) told us that we needed all new chargers. I questioned it but he was adamant the new iPhone had a different charging port. He added about $200 worth of chargers plus a $50 screen protector ($500 total for 2 phones). I went home to find that all my current chargers actually work. I went back and like deer in headlights caught in the scam, he gave me a refund for the chargers. Then I just looked at my upcoming bill in and it doesn’t even have the free upgrade for trading in my phone. Getting charged the full price of the phone! Now I have to go back and try to correct it all. Buyer beware, always question every add-on and fee. I know some sales rep work off commission but there is a right way of doing it! Like most, my phone is vital to my business and daily life. I was greeted by the store manager Ashleigh. Who informed me I needed a new phone. Which wasn’t the news I was hoping for, but with an hour or so she got me up and running with a new phone. And even looked into my account and saved me some serious money on my monthly bill. When I had a question a day or two later she followed up with me promptly, even though it was her day off she didn’t wait to respond.
