Blanca Veils — Local services in Wolfe City

The veil itself was beautiful, but the post-sales service.... THAT'S where I'm most disappointed. We ordered a veil with the words 'forever and always' on it. There was little communication between the time of the order and the time it shipped. No proofs to review, and any follow up that actually did happen was initiated by me. As a result, instead, we received 'always and forever' on a veil that looked nowhere near our vision. When I notified them of the error in wording, which included screenshots of my specific requests, I did not get an offer of partial refund, which is fine - it's a custom piece, so i can somewhat understand. What i can't understand, though, is that we did not even get an apology for the error. I contacted them again to ask if the words could be removed (the veil itself has nothing wrong with it) and got a simple 'No, I'm afraid it can not be removed easily if at all' response. So, i spent $415 on a veil with custom wording and 150 Swarovski crystals, an additional $109 on shipping (there were no options to choose from, only DHL), and, because we live in Canada, an additional $80 in duties for something we cannot use. I now have to spend more money to buy a veil locally at $259 for my very disappointed daughter. In the end, this will have cost me over $800. So disappointing! And far from their claim of being more affordable than a bridal boutique.

I will likely end up selling our 'custom' veil on Facebook Marketplace to try to recoup some of my money. This experience has been extremely disappointing. Mistakes happen, I certainly understand that. In this case, though, I think social media has helped this business grow so much that they are too busy meeting order demands that their customer service has gone...

I had found Blanca Veils through the Knot and some back and forth with other veil makers. My veil was going to be one of a kind and certainly would stand out. I wanted something that screamed Stevie Nicks and had loads of personality in the fabric. I was able to order my custom lace through Etsy and shipped it directly to Rachel for finishing. Rachel was able to talk me through which veil material would look best and talk me through measuring and how she would construct the veil. Her pricing was incredibly affordable and the timeline matched up exactly with what I had hoped for.

Rachel talked me through how many yards to purchase and saved me quite a bit of money on that end. Once my material came in, Rachel sent over pictures and a quick description to make sure the fabric was what I had hoped for. Rachel had worked with me to get measurements from my wedding dress try-on. When I got the veil in, it was absolutely a dream. It was exactly the weight Rachel had explained and the pictures she had sent were very true to what I had purchased. The veil was delivered perfectly packed and safe with prompt tracking information once it was sent out.

I did give myself quite a bit of time before the wedding since this was custom, but I managed to get the veil in before my dress fitting in February. I couldn't have asked for a better process from...
