I have been a patron of Scott’s bargain barn since I moved here over 3 years ago. Generally, I’ve always found them very helpful. However today I go in like normal. I am accosted at the door by an elderly woman behind the counter and elderly man standing on the customer side of the same counter. The man says, before the door even closes behind me, “what are you looking for, we probably don’t have it”. Well that was an odd thing to say about a store that I’ve always found multiple random items I could use at- but ok- I am actually looking for something specific this time. And went there specifically- getting off work early to do so, because I was pretty sure they might have it, as they have a multitude of mower related items there that I’ve seen with my own eyes. And bought several of. But regardless, I am blocked from walking any further into the store- so I show the aggressive “gentleman” that clearly did not want my business, a photo of the part I’m looking for. Mind you I usually spend a good 30 minutes in there buying random items every visit. But no, not this time. He barely looks at the photo and says “nope- we don’t got that”. The elderly woman behind the counter that has no idea what the photo was even of, says “TRAILERS! TRAILERS!!! “ I said “excuse me?”, as she’s practically incoherent. She says “Trailers!!! That's what we do!” So I’m not sure if it’s under new ownership. Or they have stopped selling all of the helpful household/construction related products they used to sell- as I was litterally blocked from walking in a foot farther than the front door by these folks. But what a hostile, unwelcoming, “greeting” that was. I will never go back there. And I caution you all not to waste your time. Apparently unless you’re looking for “TRAILERS! TRAILERS!!!”, of course. And can make it past the large man blocking the entrance to the actual store in order to shop. Odd tactic for sales in this rough economy....

Always know what isle to send you to, to find what you're looking for. 9 out of 10 times they have what I need. The 10th time it's something out of left field and I knew it wasn't going to happen to begin with, just thought I'd try because of my good experiences with them. Highly recommend this place to anyone that's in need of hardware, tires, trailers, trailer parts, welding gloves and supplies...... It's definitely the ultimate man cave. The only problem I really have with the place is, A, I want one of everything in there. B, I don't own the place..... I would send my best friend or any neighbor I'm really fond of...

They added another axle, fenders, wheels and tires on a custom made Wells Cargo trailer for me that Wells Cargo wasn't interested in doing. I have towed that trailer highway speeds and above and could not tell it was behind me... They are a wonderful place for shovel, axe, hammer, rake and any other kind of handle that you might want or need.Trailer & truck lights and parts (hitch parts) PLACE IS...
