Schnucks in Wood River is wonderful! Staff is very friendly with good customer service and always willing to help and I always get a good deal and I come from Edwardsville because everything is much neater here! Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I overheard conversation between employees and it seemed like one was a manager probably in his mid to late 40s and he was telling the other employee who looked quite young that hurt leg wasn't an excuse for bad performance. Absolutely unacceptable looked like the girl was on verge of tears. Worked as a manager at Goodwill for 20yr and wouldn't even allow my employee to work on a hurt leg!! Go home and rest!! I am so sorry to that girl and to that manager I hope you know you can't treat your employees like they are not human because thats not okay and will cost you because they will end up...

This store is so clean, organized & the most friendly employees. Their meat selection was great! I live about 40 minutes away & was in Wood River for something else. I stopped in to see if they had a selection of meat in the 4 for $19.98. I definitely was not disappointed. I was overjoyed at the fresh, nice, selections.
