The Smokehouse — Local services in Woodville

The gal working the counter was very nice, helpful, and let my 2yo run around to do his 2yo thing. The only major issue I ran into driving 2hrs there and home was a premade meal. Cooked it per their directions, but the chicken NEVER came close to temp, and come to find out, they put raw chicken in it. Just wonder what frozen meals at the store come with raw meat to cook, as you can't cook it thoroughly! Not unless you want to ruin everything else. Next time you want to sell chicken Parm as a frozen meal, PLEASE make sure to make it with fully cooked chicken!!! This is the picture I took after close to an hour...

I had a wonderful first experience with The Smokehouse. I ordered a quarter of beef to be processed and picked up at the Woodville location. A few weeks passed, and I forgot that, and went to the Durand location to pick-up. The employee in Durand was so kind, he called the Woodville location and asked them to meet me there an hour after closing so I could still get my order. When I arrived in Woodville, they were so unbelievably nice and understanding. I attempted to give them a cash tip for staying open late, which they refused. Such a huge blessing. High quality cuts, knowledgeable staff, and knock your socks off sausage/ snack sticks, is just the tip of the iceberg. All the feelings of a small town butcher shop, with a close tie to the local community. They sell local goods from limited grocery, to hosting Farmers markets and more. There truly isn't many places left like THIS. Cherish them while we have them. A+++... 10/10 WOULD...
