Corners Grocery — Local services in Worthington

Staff was very friendly, and the store was clean... but calling it a grocery store is kind of a joke. Their shelves were extremely sparse... this was maybe a half-step up from a gas station mini mart in terms of selection.

When I came in, an irate customer was in the middle of berating the two store clerks about how unacceptably lacking their inventory was. The customer was definitely being rude, but he wasn't wrong. I would be frustrated, too, if this was the only grocery store for miles around, and they were unresponsive to requests to carry more of what people...

The new owners are much nicer. That past owner was awful! I wish they would stock Coca-Cola instead of Pepsi, personal preference, way back (5 years or so) they sold gas. Please go back to that! I was told it's too expensive to have it brought here (by former owner), but she refused to pay for anything. The gasoline trucks have to go through Worthington to get to Dalton, Pittsfield, etc. If they don't go route 143, and take Route 8, why would it be any more expensive to take an alternative route, it saves time this way, and has less mileage!? It's very convenient if you have forgotten anything while grocery shopping in the larger communities. They have most essentials, including alcohol and the prices are fairly reasonable. We were camping in the area and we decided to stop in and check it out on our way home and it wasn't too bad.
