I want to start by saying I have been going to Peterson's since I was a teenager and love this market/deli (now almost 60). However, today I was very disappointed after returning home with two Subs that one was missing 3 ingredients requested when ordered in person at the counter. The employee was writing down the order but somehow missed putting in pickles, onions and mayo on one Sub and, I ordered my usual at Peterson's and today it was made with so little meat, so I went back to the deli counter (because I really wanted my usual Sub) to share how it is usually made and requested additional meat and onions. I have ordered the same Subs pretty much all year and this is the first time this happened. I did return to only be told "It's busy" and "We weigh all the meat" was a bit Snarky in her tone and It was handed it back to me with a very disingenuous and borderline nasty "have a good day". Read moreI enjoy the great variety of items that they provide especially the hot foods and the desserts. I have been getting the grapenut custard for sometime now as a special treat but the last time I got it the bottom was so thick with not much custard, I called the store and spoke with the manager and I asked if they have a different person preparing it or maybe they are cutting corners with the price of eggs and or cream and he reassured me that no and that I probably got the last of the batch and that I could come in again and get another one for free and I stated that that’s not why I’m calling I just wanted him to be aware of the problem so they could fix it because I’d like to continue to buy it. I did go in a few weeks later (for other items) and got another one and the same problem so I guess my hunch was right they are skimping on the custard part and filling it up on grape nuts and now I will never purchase it again, so much for saving money ( others will definitely notice too), not good...

My family and I called multiple businesses trying to purchase 20 lbs of crab... unfortunately for us being labor day weekend we had no other choice but to purchase from the establishment who among other rude comments told us "do you wanna order or not I'm busy" and when we did place the $400.00 order to "hurry up because they close in an hour". when we arrive instead of thanking us for our large purchase we were screamed at by a man and a woman about their credit card machine which we were told was declining our purchase... however, upon later inspection were charged 3 separate times totaling over $1200.00, And an additional $400.00 on our credit card that was approved. if that wasn't inconvenient enough our bank turned our cards of due to the unusual $1200.00 crab purchase. I strongly suggest avoiding this place...
