Built in 2017 by a Chinese-born New Zealand sculptor, this outdoor sculpture park is dedicated to promoting democracy and commemorating victims of communist regimes, particularly those in China. It’s free to enter and is located right off of I-15 in Yermo, which is about halfway in between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. It is also less than a mile from EddieWorld which is the largest gas station in California and a popular stop in the area. They don’t have a parking lot, but you can literally drive right in front of any of the sculptures, there aren’t any walking paths or any kind of structure. Just please leave the site better than you found it.
The theme is anti-communism and the art itself is very unique. I would classify it as modern art and a lot of the pieces have a lot of detail to them. It’s a really fun roadside attraction, which were a lot more common when Route 66 was in its prime.

Read moreLiberty Sculpture Park is a tribute to democracy. The Sculptures found here represent various historical facts many Americans are not familiar with including details of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
This location is an easy car drive through on a rather well maintained dirt road or you can park and walk around which I think enhances the experience and gives greater appreciation for the details in the art. 🎨

Picnic benches and covered seating is available but limited.

Read moreOn our way to Las Vegas, my nephew and I noticed the Liberty Sculpture Park. So on our way back we decided to stop by. I really like what the Sculpture Artists are doing and also sharing History. Do not touch or climb the Bigger Tank (that is on top of a cement platform) since that was made with various materials, my nephew got on it till I told him to get off since there was a sign that said do not touch, plus a local on a golf cart came out to speak with us. He was friendly and told us that the tank is fragile. He also shared other facts. He picks up trash at the park. I liked that it had tables, next time I go with a friend, I plan to enjoy a sandwich. I hope they keep adding more sculptures. I plan to make a donation through the information I got on...
