Last year I went the service was fantastic. This year the Saturday before Mother's Day I stopped in with all the moms in the car to buy them chocolate. There's an older lady with glasses very tall playing with the chocolates with her hands no gloves on. I don't know who the owner is and who the other two people were but they were not very nice. I asked for bonbon size and they got insulted. I asked for a pound of chocolate assorted and another pound of chocolate with nuts. The lady just threw nuts into the box. I couldn't believe they wouldn't go individually into wrappers whatever. The biggest insult was on me putting up with people that don't want me in their place and at the register charging me $62 for 2 pounds of chocolate guess who's never going there again. I'd rather have truffles from Macy's Godiva brand. At least I get a beautiful presentation in the world's best chocolate and a lower price. If you don't wanna be nice to your customer sell the place to somebody that will and don't play with the food with your hands with no gloves on after you've been messing with the register and credit cards I just can't even believe I have to tell someone older this...
Read moreMy family has been ordering candy from Lowery's for well over fifty (50) years. It has become a highly valued family tradition which we, and others, look forward to each year. I took the place of ordering after my mother passed...now my children order as well. I always speak with Judy who has worked at Lowery's for at least 25 years. I enjoy speaking with her every year and know my order, which has become quite large, will be handled in the respectful way I have known throughout the years. Lowery's is a much loved part of our Christmas tradition. The box I get this year will be every bit as wonderful as the first. Thank you, Judy and Lowery's, from the Burkett, Trullender and...
Read moreI have been driving cross country for 40 years to get treats. They make high quality chocolates and have flavor syrups like cherry for my cherry cokes. The candy is pricey, but I only give it to very special people. This I believe is their only outlet. Worth driving 2000 miles each fall. They are not open in the summer because it's their families traditional vacation time and it's too hot to make chocolates. They are yummy. They can be ordered online, but what is the fun in that. Gives me an excuse to sample their goods plus the folks I gift them to know how much they mean to me. That I travel so far to buy...
