So, I walked into a scene in which 2 customers were being checked in and one, the older woman, refused to listen and was EXTREMELY RUDE to the lady at the window trying to help. But you know why Iâm even mentioning this? Because the young lady was calm AND composed. The entire interaction she used an empathetic tone when responding in order to de-escalate the situation. Unfortunately, the older woman seemed to just be taking out her frustrations on the poor girl, speaking over her, and just generally refusing to listen. After the older woman continued raising her voice, rudely screaming if she âwas speaking martianâ to the young lady at the window, managers Gabriel & Ricardo, stepped in, with Gabriel taking the lead by asking probing questions and resolved the issue by repeating the same instructions (for the thousandth time).
Now comes my review, I was having issues with a cart, so I reached out to Jamestown and explained what was happening â even advising that I was very aware of their policy with defective items and how I was past that timeframe. They acknowledged their policy but still wanted to help in some way. I was advised to come in when I have the time. So I did. And guess what? Not only has the issue been resolved, but I was also educated and not made to feel bad for not knowing some of the tips that were shared with me. Iâm a person who does not like confrontation, but the way that Gabriel handled the situation made me feel heard and like I want to continue supporting a place that cares about its consumers.
Iâve never had a bad experience at this location and really enjoy going!! If you have time, ask your tender for some recommendations. I have yet to have someone give me something I donât like.
Shout out to Eyahna, Gabriel, Jose, and Joshua! Thank you for your time, attention, and...
Read moreUpdated â July 2025: The place looks better after the recent remodel, but unfortunately, not much else has improved. It still feels like a classic âbait and switchâ operation. They advertise budget-friendly options like $19 disposable 1G cartridges or $15 eighths of flower to get you in the doorâbut once you're there, those products are conveniently "out of stock."
Whatâs offered instead? Items at double or triple the price. If you're an inexperienced customer or just visiting with cash to burn, they'll gladly upsell you on whatever brings them the highest margin.
Sadly, it seems the focus here is more on profit than on building trust with regular customers.
Jan 2025 It seems this dispensary is struggling with cash flow issues. Theyâre frequently out of stock on their best-selling items, and Iâve been told they wonât restock until next month. What they do have available are the leftovers that no one seems to want. Prices here are consistently higher than those at other local dispensaries, like Jars and Off the Charts, which offer a better selection at a better price.
Unfortunately, this place has a captive audience, as itâs the only dispensary in the Foothills area. However, I canât see it lasting long when competition enters the market. As soon as another dispensary opens locally, I wouldnât be surprised if this one either closes or sells out. Itâs disappointing to see businesses taking advantage of their customers and overcharging simply...
Read moreAwful weed for awful prices. Seriously the bud here is a joke, coming from a experienced medical smoker living around Tempe AZ and Washington State. I went here once out of convenience and regret it. Wasted $80 w tax on an eight of âtop shelfâ Alien Pharaoh strain from Shango. Felt almost nothing from it. I had to mix it with other bud. Not effective as medicine at all if thatâs what you need. I only go to Calexico now, specifically to Mexcali cannabis factory, but literally anywhere is better than here. They have very strong Humbolt bud. I also used to go to Cannabist in Tempe, where prices are literally half price or even less with frequent specials and a generous reward point system. They claim their prices are high because theyâre within a 100 miles form the border and Yuma licensing costs, yet on their site they claim âlow city pricesâ (???, what about Calexico dispos?) I pray that another real dispo opens around Yuma very soon and takes them out of business swiftly. Trash product for insane greedy prices designed to exploit locals who canât leave town. Literally nothing good about this place. I swear Iâm never steeping foot...
