Used to love going to the moose, they pushed a lot to get more members and for the younger crowd to bring children as they wanted to make it more Family oriented. One day After a local parade/ Main Street event was cancelled I decided to bring my husband, our children and a guest to the moose. What used to be a fun/enjoyable time for me quickly went out the window, I was embarrassed and badgered by other members to the point I had no choice but to leave. Not only was I treated very poorly, but my husband and I were left with a very uneasy feeling of one members interest “ a little too much “ into my very young daughters!! This place used to be a safe and fun environment for my Husband and self to go! We loved that we were away from rift raft of that of a bar and were rather somewhere safe with cheap beer, good food and what we thought was somewhere that helped/supported good causes! To the Moose, you should really make sure that ALL members know the bartender is in charge at all times and doesn’t need unsolicited back up . To “ Bruce at the moose” thanks for ruining something fun for my family, the awkwardness you gave my children and for the badgering episode you and the old ladies hogging up the slot machines gave me!! It's nice to be able to go dancing on a nice big dance floor. They also organize many events. Keep up the good work. Being new to this place, I discovered that any good dancers don't invite you too dance. They only dance with people they know. I invited an Italian man to dance, but he refused. He acted like he didn't know this dance. I saw him before dancing this dance with different women. Then a woman he knew asked him to dance, and he accepted. I just think it's a shame that they don't give you a chance. Personally, I've never refused a dance too someone still If I wasn't sure he would be a good partner.
