Most of the food, wet, and fresh goods are sold outside or around the market area. You have to walk the streets to find the best goods. There are streets filled with rows of fruit, vegetables, and even fresh flowers. Then there's another street for meats, fish, seafood, poultry. The seafood and poultry are mostly alive so be wary if buying, they'll kill them there and prepare/clean for you. There are also dressed chicken already.

Be careful when walking the streets outside as motorcycles come and go, and traffic is a usual sight from time to time as stalls are sometimes found in the middle of the street depending on the time. In my experience, by 8:30am on a weekday, they all rush to clear the street of their goods, and a truck was announcing something in Vietnamese, maybe to tell the vendors to move their products away from the street already.

Some stalls have prices on their products but most dont, so you have to ask how much. Best way is to use a calculator to know exactly, show numbers using fingers, or they sometimes show their money to tell you the price. 😅

All of the vendors there were friendly and didn't hound you or try to ask you to buy, some didnt even mind you at all unless you asked for the price of an item. 😅

All of the prices were cheap and fairly priced. Just ask first for how much per kilo. Pick the items, then they'll show you the weighing scale for the item you bought.

Inside the market are dry goods like clothes, shoes, slippers. There are also some food stalls inside, a few vegetable stalls and general goods stores.

Outside the market area, there's an abundance of food and drink stalls, groceries, pharmacies, bakeries, etc. Some of the popular food there are the banh mi, com tam, bun thit nuong.

Personally I didn't like it because 1)having so much people in one enclosed space, pushing and showing each other 2) vendors grabbing you and pulling you to their stands and persisting that you buy something 3) all the smells of fish, fried chicken, spices, and other odors mixing together in that space makes you nauseous and 4) It is very dirty and hot in that place so you feel like your going to pass out at any moment (or maybe that was just me) but other than that, if you want to experience pure local marketing and bargaining this is the...
