This charming spot boasts a vibrant atmosphere, with newly constructed tennis courts for sports enthusiasts and a unique art shop (Local Artisans) showcasing Zambia talents. The coffee, beer and T-shirt store (Kakuli) is a perfect place to unwind and savour a refreshing drink. At the same time, the food place (African Butterfly) tantalises taste buds with its delectable offerings. In addition, the monthly markets (held around the majestic central tree at Barnyards) are a true highlight, bringing together the community to celebrate local culture and creativity. It is (just) too bad that furniture store (Wright House) and neighbouring (Chena Art) Gallary recently closed their premises but, whether you are looking for a fun day out with family and friends or a peaceful day retreat from busy downtown Lusaka, the Barnyard (and I must iterate again, picturesque Bonanza estate) delivers an unforgettable experience that will leave you longing to return.
