My father eked a living at this market. I remember vividly my father's shop was numbered 199.When I started Grade One at Chinika Primary School, my father and I would pass through his shop. He had a grocery shop and later transitioned into stationery.It was here that i developed my business interest. My father, I suppose could have done much better if it had not been for the fire that swept through the market. But then, thank God he managed to build a house and bought another from the proceeds of this market. Not only that he managed to buy at least three second hand vehicles.
