We came here for our anniversary today because we heard things from coeliac pages about it having good options and the wife is coeliac.
We were pretty disappointed that after travelling over an hour the only savoury option for us was to share the singular pie available. The pie itself has an amazing filling but as a 110kg male having to choose between half a pie or not being able to kiss my wife (because of lack of gluten free pies) was a downer, also the crust of the pie was soft and had a less than good texture.
The chocolate eclair we had was very tasty and was better than average. It was rather delicious.
The Black Forest we shared was dry but other than that had great flavours.
Something to note is this place no longer has indoor seating as it was all moved outside and there are a lot of flies.
We came back later in the day for ginger bread ice cream later in the day and it was amazing.
All in all there are some redeeming qualities but it was in many ways disappointing.
I’m hoping this review is fair as I pride myself on fair reviews if I could I would have added another half star but there was just too many things that could have been done better to warrant a full extra star.
Edit: I can’t figure out how to reply to your reply but we’ll drop around when we get another chance. To maintain the integrity of the review which is a little hobby of mine I won’t let you know who we are and if it’s a better experience we will edit the review and give you guys a shout out on all the coeliac pages. I much rather give glowing reviews than reviews that are less so.

Beautiful place to pick Strawberries. The best time to come to pick is Jan till March. We went late Dec and as you can see from the photos there were not much red/ripe strawberries. There are a few wheelchair access lanes which is a plus to cater to wider demographic. The strawberry ice cream is worth a try. There is also a small picnic area with tables and benches for picnic. (Edited to mention the correct months to pick and changed rating from 4 stars to 5 stars). Also worth noting this is a child friendly place. Highly recommended for families with little ones. When we were there, there were some people (teenagers) who picked strawberries and returned to refilled the strawberries (double or triple picking). As much as we would like stricter monitoring by the business, this is a family place and I think the business's priority is having satisfied customers. We can all do our part by helping local businesses (through sharing honest feedbacks and giving out positive feedbacks when they deserve it, and buying local produce). My family will definitely come back to this place. 😊 The only drawback is no bags (even small sling bags) are allowed when picking strawberries with the exception of people with medical issues. This is sometimes tricky for parents with little ones).

Bought pies, pasties and kranskies from the cafe, not a huge selection, I really enjoyed the steak and mushroom, the pasties were lacking flavour as per x2 who ate and the kransky I didn't mind but also missing a little something flavour wise. Outdoor play area is really nice for the kids, being a wet day we didn't utilize it. Kids enjoyed picking the strawberries, I would prefer a closable punnet as the kids want to hold it and one dropped all the strawberries on the ground. And also better for putting safely in the car, I wrapped mine in a mesh veggie bag I had. Taste wise better than the supermarkets and what we haven't eaten yet are still looking fresh after 1 week in the fridge. I do like the ease of set price punnet, saves hassles with weighing. Because of the wet weather we basically had the patch to ourselves. Just make sure to bring gumboots for the kids and a change of clothes, could have gone a pants change myself after hopping over the covered rows as they were all wet. Good day out for the kiddos. Would like to come back in summer for berries.

🍓 I have been to this spot twice now. First time to pick strawberries and this time to try their iced soy mocha. 😆☕
I firstly have to say the staff are fantastic. So friendly and professional.
You get a punnet container to fill up. No bags allowed in the picking area. You can fill up the container as much as you like. 😆
It's easy to pick, as the strawberry beds are raised a foot of the ground. Bring a big hat, and some sunscreen, as you will be out there for awhile.
🍫 The shop has a heap of local and organic produce from around the area. From fresh flowers, jams, spreads, icecream, chocolates, honey etc. A massive range to choose from.
Iced Soy Mocha
The coffee was smooth and light. Not a strong roast. Was quite expensive getting soy milk.
Overall 4.4/5
Biodegradable cup and straw ✅
Blueberry muffin was on sale, was moist and yummy.
They also have some kids play areas. One with a ride on tractor and a sand pit. Our kids loved it!
We love bringing our relatives here, and it's a favourite!

Quick stop on the way home, the girls and I enjoyed hot home made pies, beef, chicken & veg, and a GF chickpea & veg curry pie. With a sparkling natural apple juice, bottled just over the hill.
Then we splurged and had a something sweet from the dessert display. It took ages to make our choice!
Meringue topped with cream and strawberries, a cherry slice and the oh so delicious, RAW and GF rocky road slice!!! I wish I had the recipe, I reckon I could eat the whole slab :-p
Highly recommend, fantastic customer service and lovely country atmosphere.
