"Never go to Jerusalem."
🧡Western Wall: Experience prayer at the sacred Western Wall. 💡Dome of the Rock: The iconic golden-domed mosque (a wooden bridge near the Western Wall leads to it). 🧡Via Dolorosa: Walk the path Jesus took carrying the cross through the Old City. 💡Church of the Holy Sepulchre: Visit the holiest site in Christianity, where Jesus was crucified and buried. 🏞Tower of David (Citadel): Located in the City of David (light shows are only on Monday and Thursday evenings). 🏞Temple Mount: A significant religious site for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Mount Zion: A historic hill with important religious landmarks. Israel Museum: Explore extensive collections of art, archaeology, and history. Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial: A powerful museum dedicated to the memory of Holocaust victims, filled with personal stories and artifacts from WWII. Machane Yehuda Market: A vibrant market offering local foods, spices, and crafts. 🏞Food & Drinks: Falafel: Found everywhere. There’s a great spot across from the train station—perfect for a quick bite while waiting. Gelato: Visit the large gelato shop in the city center. The green pistachio flavor tastes just like Turkish gelato. It’s called Kat Select Ice Cream. Grilled Meat: Found a great spot on Google (even tried grilled chicken hearts!!). Coffee: A specialty coffee shop named You Need Coffee (two locations, one run by a lovely young Czech woman). Their iced Americano features different beans daily! #Jerusalem3000 #TravelDiaries #HolyCityJerusalem #WesternWall
