They invented the piruli (also known as bicchierini di frolla)❗, which is a must-try pastry exclusive to this place! It’s one of Florence’s iconic pasticceria treats. Piruli are small cup-shaped pastries filled with soft ricotta cheese and topped with various toppings: fresh berries, chocolate and pistachio, sea salt caramel, gianduia cream, tiramisu, apple and cinnamon, and more. The shop introduces seasonal flavors. As a pistachio lover and someone with a sweet tooth, I highly recommend trying the pistachio chocolate and tiramisu flavors. 😋 Caffè Lietta is located inside an arcade, giving it a bit of a Bologna vibe.
