🇨🇦 Vancouver | Cozy Korean Soup for Rainy Days 🍲🌧️
Discovered this brand-new Korean soup spot on Main Street with friends last weekend - from the outside it's unassuming, but step inside to find a modern yet warm space with beautiful wooden accents and sleek stainless steel tableware. The perfect blend of contemporary and traditional Korean aesthetics! ✨ 🥣 GOMTANG (Signature Soup) The broth is crystal clear yet packed with deep, slow-cooked beef flavor 🐮 What makes it special? They use the traditional TORYEOM method - rinsing the rice first to remove excess starch, keeping the broth light and clean. The thin beef slices melt in your mouth, especially when paired with kimchi and spicy sauce for an extra kick! 🌶️ 🍚 MARINATED PORK RICE BOWL Tender marinated pork slices over rice, drizzled with galbi sauce and topped with a perfect marinated soft-boiled egg yolk 🥚 The meat has just the right char from the torch, giving it a satisfying crispy edge. Mix everything together for the ultimate comfort bite! 🍠 GOGUMA & ICE CREAM (Must-Try!!) This genius dessert combines vanilla ice cream with Korean grain powder, rice syrup, and candied sweet potato slices 🍠 The contrast between creamy ice cream and crunchy sweet potato is everything - it tastes like Korean "dalgona" candy meets ice cream!! 🍶 Yuzu Makgeolli (Limited Time Offer) The yuzu-infused rice wine is refreshingly tart and slightly sweet - the perfect palate cleanser between rich dishes 🍊 So easy to drink, we almost ordered another round! 💡 Why We Loved It Their philosophy is "a place to feel warm, relaxed, and cared for" - and it shows in every detail. While the lunch menu is simpler, dinner offers more variety. We'll definitely be back to try more, but that steaming bowl of soup will always be our comfort food anchor 💕 📍 Nui 4811 Main St, Vancouver #comfortfood #koreancuisine #vancouverfoodie #souplovers #hiddenvancouver #rainydayeats #foodtherapy #exploremainstreet #culinaryhappiness
