Clam Digging at Lisabeula Park, Seattle on June 28th

Teamwork makes the dream work—just like a demolition crew, five shovels digging simultaneously, and within minutes, a horse clam was unearthed 🦪✨ We dug up quite a few horse clams and cockles. This beach is super close to the parking lot, making it incredibly convenient to transport tools and haul our loot 🚗💨 How beginners can dig clams: Most of our team were first-timers today, so we came prepared with small plastic flags. Whenever we spotted a water spout, we planted a flag to mark the center and shouted, "Demolition crew, start digging!" If two shovelfuls revealed a thick hole in the sand, we confirmed a horse clam was underneath. With confidence boosted, we kept digging deeper—about 30-40cm down, and voilà, the clam was ours 🏆 (Other beaches seem to have clams buried deeper, but this spot was relatively shallow) First-time clam diggers definitely benefit from teaming up. More hands mean shared energy, moral support, and fewer chances of misidentifying breathing holes or giving up halfway due to exhaustion or doubt 💪😅 (June 28th, Saturday | Tide Level: -2.3) #SeattleForaging #HorseClams #Cockles #SeattleLife #SeattleWeekend
