Turkish Cuisine That’s Generous with Spices

🌟At a Turkish restaurant in Fremont, the place isn’t very big, but the dim lighting gives it a fine dining vibe. The portion sizes are on the smaller side. I tried several appetizers and they were all pretty good. The main course was lamb flatbread with a side of rice. The first bite of meat without the rice was quite salty; I felt like I could eat five bowls of rice 🍚 to balance it out. 🌟Kereviz’s smoked yogurt is quite unique, and the combination of sesame sauce’s aroma and the crispy texture of pine nuts is a surprise with every bite. 🌟The best dish was Sucuk Ekmek – toast with caramelized butter, filled with a deliciously spiced Turkish sausage. The salty and slightly spicy flavors paired with tomato and cheese offer a rich layering and texture. 🌟This watermelon salad was a first for me. Because of the various spices and the salty cheese, it didn’t feel like eating watermelon at all; it was more like a meal. But the sweet burst of watermelon did a great job of cutting through the heavy spices. Ambiance: 10/10, Taste: 6/10 #Food #FoodDiary #Seattle #FoodExploration #Foodie #Turkish
