Le Pirate Island Resort: A Pirate-Themed Getaway in Komodo 🏴‍☠️

Three Days of "Island Savage" Life in Untouched Komodo – A New Level of Adventure When I first arrived in Komodo, I was startled by the locals' deep tan skin (it reminded me of Indians at first glance—turns out they're just warm, kind-hearted people; my stereotypes were way off!).👋 We took the hotel boat from Komodo Dock at 10:00 AM, and it only took an hour to reach Pirate Island. Upon arrival, the staff briefed us on snorkeling safety before lunch. Check-in starts at 2:00 PM after lunch. Most guests here are Westerners—Komodo really feels like a private playground for them. The return boat to Komodo Dock departs at 2:00 PM as well. We booked a tent room with private bathroom and a fan inside. It can get a bit warm at night, but since we spent most of the day in the sea, it wasn’t too bad. We opted for the two-meal plan (breakfast + either lunch or dinner). The menu rotates every four days, and the free breakfast was surprisingly delicious—I didn’t get any stomach issues afterward. Highly recommend their tequila cocktail with chili peppers 🍷—absolutely fantastic. The resort has marked snorkeling spots right offshore where you can swim freely 🤿. We saw lots of small sharks and vibrant coral reefs. Alternatively, you can climb halfway up the hill from the dock for stunning sunset views. The staff were incredibly friendly 👍🏼. Evenings here include movie nights and bonfire parties—lying under the stars while listening to live music is pure magic. #IslandLifeGoals #TurquoiseWaters #TropicalEscape #BeachVacation #IndonesiaTravel #KomodoIsland #SnorkelingParadise #DreamDestination
