Saint Edward State Park | Seattle's Hidden Gem for Family Fun 🌳
Tucked between Kirkland and Kenmore along Lake Washington's shoreline, Saint Edward State Park is our go-to family escape! This former seminary-turned-state-park has been our playground since my little one was in a stroller - today, we brought her grandma's gift from China for some outdoor playtime in their castle-themed playground! 🏰 Why We Love This Park: 1️⃣ Breathtaking Scenery The historic seminary buildings (now a charming lodge) set against lush lawns create picture-perfect views. The lake backdrop? Absolutely stunning at sunset! 2️⃣ Ultra-Safe Play Area No cars allowed means unlimited running space for kids!We spotted toddlers learning to ride bikes on the paved paths - pure joy! 3️⃣ Enchanted Playground The castle-inspired play structure is a hit!Though @friend noted some dusty areas, the climbing walls and slides kept our little adventurer entertained for hours. 4️⃣ Perfect Picnic Spot With ample picnic tables (many under shade!), clean restrooms, and even an on-site restaurant/bar (Stone Garden Café), it's ideal for family gatherings. 5️⃣ Family-Friendly Trails Multiple easy trails wind through the property, including one that leads to the lakeshore (though be aware: no sandy beach here). ⚠️ Visitor Tips: Arrive early on weekends - the playground gets popular! Bring bug spray for lakeside areas Dogs are welcome but must be leashed Check for special events (they host yoga classes and concerts!) #SeattleFamilyFun #SaintEdwardPark #EastsideAdventures #LakeWashingtonPlayground #WeekendWithKids #SeattleHiddenGems #OutdoorFamilyTime #NaturePlaygrounds #PicnicPerfect #KidFriendlyHikes
