White Mountain Day Trip
Independence Day White Mountain Westside Adventure! 🎉🏔️ The drive from Boston to the White Mountain’s west side (Franconia Notch State Park) takes about 2 to 2.5 hours. We left around 10 AM, grabbed a quick lunch in Lincoln, and headed back by 5 PM. We tackled two trails—Flume Gorge & Artist Bluff—and it was absolutely worth it! ⛰️ Flume Gorge – Super easy, a 2-hour loop with stunning views! Buy tickets online in advance ($18), and it wasn’t crowded at all. The trail features gorgeous scenery the whole way—lush greenery, waterfalls, and cool breezes make it perfect for a summer hike! 🌿💦 ⛰️ Artist Bluff – Moderate difficulty, involves rock scrambling, and takes about 1 hour round trip. The climb is steep but rewarding—once you reach the lookout, you’ll see Echo Lake below, and there were hardly any people! A bit tiring, but the view is unreal! 😍 Pro tip: DO NOT start from the trailhead parking lot entrance—you’ll waste time walking a long, flat stretch. Instead, go past Echo Lake Beach to find another trail entrance that goes straight uphill! 🚶♂️💨 Hiking here was such a refreshing escape—nothing like connecting with nature to recharge! 🌄✨ #BostonDayTrips #WhiteMountains #HikingAdventures #NewEnglandTravel #NatureEscape #FranconiaNotch #OutdoorLife #WeekendGetaway
