My husband rated the Duck Confit at Le Coq as his favorite dish in all of San Diego! Served with creamy beans and tender spring pea shoots, the plate was elegantly finished with delicate drops of green sauce (not over the duck) that added a burst of flavor. 💚✨ I ordered the tender filet mignon, cooked to a perfect medium-rare, sliced and accompanied by an array of exquisite sauces. A thin but delicious Bordeaux wine reduction was drizzled lightly over the steak. I’m convinced someone must have given that beef a massage – it was that tender! 🥩😉 We also enjoyed a side salad dressed with a bright, citrusy champagne vinaigrette. It featured paper-thin radish slices over fresh gem lettuce – a simple yet stunning starter. 🥗🌿 The meal began with warm, crispy French bread and salted butter – a classic touch done right. 🥖🧈 We’ll definitely be back.
