Thanks to all the rave reviews online, I stumbled upon Makai Sushi – and it totally lives up to the hype! I ordered the Godzilla Bowl, loaded with fresh ahi tuna, salmon, and blue crab, served over sushi rice with crisp, colorful veggies. Every single bite was bursting with freshness and flavor – and the portions were seriously satisfying! 🐟🍚🥒 During my visit, I had the chance to chat with the mastermind behind the counter – Chef Matthew. I learned that before COVID, Chef Matthew ran a sushi and poke spot in Hawaii that ranked in the Yelp Top 100 for two years straight 🏆 – and it’s no surprise! His passion for sushi shines through in every dish, and it’s seriously impressive how he crafts these delicious, fresh bowls all by himself. The service was quick, the space was clean and well-organized, and you could really feel the Aloha spirit 🌺.
