’s-Hertogenbosch: My Favorite Dutch City 🇳🇱✨

’s-Hertogenbosch (also called Den Bosch) is the hometown of Hieronymus Bosch, the painter of The Garden of Earthly Delights. As a huge fan of Bosch and Dalí, I’ve always wanted to visit their hometowns! This city is relatively niche and underrated but full of unique charm! Underground Canals Tour 🚤⚡️ The scenes you’ll see while exploring the city’s hidden canals! I booked the Jeroen Boschroute—a 1.5-hour tour (Dutch commentary, which I didn’t understand, but the visuals alone were fascinating!). Along the way, there are statues of creatures from Bosch’s paintings. The underground canals are incredibly distinctive, mostly running beneath buildings and streets—unlike Amsterdam’s open canals, they have a mysterious vibe. Jheronimus Bosch Art Center 🎨🖼️ All the artworks here are replicas (some seemed like low-res prints). Worth a quick visit, but skippable if you’re short on time. St. John’s Cathedral ⛪️💒 The stained-glass windows here are stunning! Highly recommended. Noordbrabants Museum 🏛️🌟 A MUST-VISIT!!! Blew me away—especially the Story of Brabant exhibit on the second floor, which traces Brabant’s rise and fall (from prehistoric times to modernity). So captivating and enlightening! #Bosch #TheGardenOfEarthlyDelights #UrbanExplorer #QuirkyTown
