【Bory Castle】The Love Wife in the Castle

✅Bory Castle, designed and built by Hungarian architect and sculptor Jenő Bory, is a testament to his artistic vision. Bory was a professor of sculpture at the Budapest University of Fine Arts and a professor at the Faculty of Architecture at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. ✅Starting in 1923, he spent decades primarily using his own hands, with the help of only two workers, to gradually construct, perfect, and decorate this castle until his passing. This unique castle, blending various architectural styles and brimming with artistic charm, is a symbol of Master Bory's deep love for his wife. It's a romantic place that reflects the designer's affection for his wife, though not widely known, it's a step-by-step scenic spot, like a hidden fairytale castle in the world. ✅The construction of the castle utilized a material called "quartz concrete." This material was a novelty in early 20th-century architecture, and Bory was one of the first in Hungary to use it. The castle's door and window frames, columns, domes, railings, staircases, as well as fountains, pools, statues, and reliefs, are all made from this material. ✅The staircase inside the castle is a major highlight. Its spiral structure, when viewed from the top, resembles a giant, colorful seashell. The elegant curves add a sense of dynamism to the castle. ✅The staircase is also very colorful, decorated with various colored tiles, mosaics, or paintings. The color combinations are bold yet harmonious. For example, bright colors like blue, green, and yellow are interwoven, creating a vibrant and imaginative fairytale feel. Opening Hours: Summer 9:00 - 17:00, Winter 9:00 - 16:00 Admission Price: Full ticket 3000 HUF. Special discounts are available for students, seniors over 65, and children under 6 enter for free. #EuropeanRoadTrip #HiddenGem #1MinuteTravelTip
