【Kingston】 A bowl of boiled sliced pork (dine-in)
Dining in for boiled sliced pork is truly on another level compared to takeout—after all, this dish is best enjoyed piping hot, with the broth still bubbling and the aroma hitting you as soon as it’s served 🔥. The heat brings out the richness of the sauce, making every bite more flavorful than when it’s cold from delivery. Highly recommend 👉 the roujiamo (Chinese meat sandwich)! The crust of the bun is perfectly crispy, and the minced pork inside is tender with just the right amount of fat—so delicious without being greasy 🥯. It’s the ideal pairing to balance the spiciness of the boiled pork. Unfortunately, the lamb skewers this time were a letdown. They tasted more like they were made in an air fryer than grilled over an open flame, lacking that smoky charred flavor you expect from good skewers 😕. Not recommended. One unique thing here: you get to pick your own additional ingredients from the vegetable counter. You need to grab at least 400 grams—think fresh greens, tofu, mushrooms, and more—to add to your boiled pork pot 🥬🍄. It’s fun to customize, but make sure you don’t skimp on the veggies! Total bill breakdown: boiled sliced pork + roujiamo + fried chicken skin + lamb skewers + rice + drink + tax + tip = $96.38 💸. A bit pricey, but the dine-in experience and that amazing roujiamo made it worthwhile! #Canada #Ontario #Kingston #Food #StudyAbroad #Life
