【Maccheroni Republic】A Two-Day Pasta Adventure! 🍝✨

Day 1: We ordered: 1️⃣ + 2️⃣ + a small $5 salad (not on the menu!) The service was great—we sat outside, and it was quiet and relaxing (Thursday lunchtime 🧡). So we were totally happy to leave an 18% tip! 😊 Day 2: We went again and sat outside once more. Maybe because it was Friday lunch, it was much busier and noisier 🗣️. We had a different server, and whether it was the crowd or the change in staff, the service felt noticeably less attentive than the first day… 😅 🍴 Dish Reviews: 1️⃣ Bone Marrow (Starter) Personally, not my favorite—super oily 💦. I don’t think it’s a must-order. 2️⃣ Black & White Pasta Tasty, but we didn’t finish it. Took it home, and when we reheated it in the microwave, a ton of oil came out 🫠. Not the healthiest, and the pasta got pretty soft. Definitely better eaten fresh at the restaurant! 3️⃣ Forgot the Name (Last Starter on the Menu) Tender and crispy octopus and squid! The texture was amazing 🐙💥. But the seafood itself was pretty mild—needed to be eaten with the veggies underneath. Problem: the veggies were sitting in a pool of oil… 😬 Up to you if you want to try! 4️⃣ Seafood Pasta The seafood was cooked perfectly and well-seasoned, but the pasta was WAY too salty 🧂. I sent it back to the kitchen, and even after they remade it… still salty. Ended up taking it home and adding lots of veggies to balance it out. 5️⃣ Tiramisu A bit too sweet for me—almost like Costco’s? (It’s been a while, can’t totally remember 😅) I scraped off the mascarpone/cream layer and just ate the coffee-soaked biscuits at the bottom. ✅ Verdict: I’ll keep updating—there are still so many interesting pastas I haven’t tried here! But I’ll probably stick to weekday lunches from now on 🍽️🌞 #DTLA #LosAngelesFood #PastaLover #FoodReview #ItalianFood #EaterLA #MaccheroniRepublic #FoodieDiary #HonestReview #WeekdayLunch #OutdoorDining #NotAllHits #TryAtYourOwnRisk #LAEats #FoodCritic #CasualDining
