Recently tried two "high-concept" Michelin spots back-to-back — Meteora and Somni 🌱 Meteora felt like a jungle adventure: surrounded by plants, fire-kissed dishes, plates like art — yet somehow more grounded (and actually delicious) than Vespertine 🌿🔥 Somni was more like stepping into a dreamworld: 20+ courses, cheese “feathers,” butterfly crisps, fish-shaped choux… every plate a floral still-life 🧀🦋 But flavors felt deconstructed — fish didn’t taste like fish, meat didn’t feel like meat. Heads up: cheese plays a starring role here — not ideal if you’re not a fan! Add Vespertine into the mix, and all three share that ultra-visual, deeply zen, slightly sour-leaning style.
