LA|Recently Tried Two Vietnamese Pho Spots
📍 Pho Show Downsides: Even though the restaurant had plenty of empty tables at 2 PM, we waited 15 minutes to be seated, 10 minutes for a server, 15 more minutes to order, and another 15 for the food — no water offered the whole time. 🥲 There seemed to be only two staff total (front + kitchen), and we waited another 10 minutes just to pay... Upsides: The food was actually really good! 🍜 Beef broth was rich and flavorful, generous meat portions. Fried tofu was crispy outside, soft inside, well-marinated. Fresh shrimp rolls had thin, chewy wrappers and a delicious peanut sauce. Not sure if it was an off day or if they’re always understaffed... 📍 Pholala Beef Pho — solid but not exceptional. Fried Spring Rolls — really tasty! Crispy without being oily. Stir-fried Pork with Rice Noodles — good, with lots of meat. 🅿️ Parking available right in the plaza — can keep an eye on your car through the window, which feels reassuring in Ktown. #LAPho #LAFood #LAEats #VietnameseFood #PhoInLA #LARestaurants #ComfortFood
