【San Diego】Callie Restaurant
OMG, it’s seriously SO GOOD. The best meal I’ve had in San Diego so far! 🍄🟫 Japanese Kanpachi – Sliced fish served with avocado and a slightly tangy-spicy sauce underneath. So refreshing! 🍄🟫 UNI Toast – A burst of textures! Salty ham wrapped around uni, paired with crispy toast. 🍄🟫 SETAS CON MIGAS – Mushrooms + confit egg! Our favorite dish—we finished it the moment it arrived. It also had something like breadcrumbs inside. 🍄🟫 Aleppo Chicken – Their signature dish. My boyfriend said it’s the best chicken he’s ever had—so juicy and flavorful. To me, it tasted a bit like Lao Gan Ma? But seriously, how did they make it so moist? 🍄🟫 Lemon Saffron Linguine – Couldn’t quite pinpoint the flavor, but it was delicious. Not a must-order, but we were starving, and I can’t sleep without carbs. 🍄🟫 Dry Aged Duck Breast – The best duck breast I’ve ever had! So tender, served with something from the potato family and a hint of pear. We also ordered bread and a glass of wine (they ID for alcohol, btw—but my drink was awful). The total came to $300 including tax and tip, but it was totally worth it. Way better than the “fancy but meh” meals we had earlier this week. #SanDiego #SanDiegoFood #SanDiegoTravel #StudyAbroadEats #MediterraneanCuisine #MyFoodDiary
