【Tampa!】Authentic Vietnamese Spot Packed with Locals 🍜
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Price: ~$20 per person Location: Gạo Restaurant, 8405 N Himes Ave #105, Tampa, FL 33614 We were the only non-Vietnamese folks there — even on a weekday afternoon after the lunch rush, the place was still buzzing! 🇻🇳 All the staff are Vietnamese and super friendly. The second I saw the condiment station filled with different chilis and fish sauce, I knew we came to the right place 🌶️🥢 ✨ Fried Chicken Feet Crispy fried and tossed in a sweet-spicy glaze — so tasty and addictive! ✨ Chicken Leg Rice Bowl The chicken skin was super crispy and the meat was tender, but it was a bit bland. Since we already had the fried chicken feet, having another fried dish felt a bit heavy and oily. ⚠️ If you’re not big on fried food, maybe don’t order both together. ✨ Some Noodle Soup (forgot the name 😅) Probably from the pho section — and it was DELICIOUS! The broth was rich and savory with bone stock and classic Vietnamese herbs. It came with blood cubes (!), pork knuckle, beef tendon, and beef — so hearty and flavorful. The noodles were silky smooth — loved it! 🍲 They also make their own chili sauces in-house — the chili oil is especially amazing! 🌶️🔥 If you handle spice well, don’t miss it! #FoodieTravel #Tampa #TampaEats #VietnameseFood #FloridaFood #HiddenGems
