❄️ "I’ve Officially Shredded Snowbird!" ⛷️

This week = Snowmageddon in Salt Lake City. 🙏 Fresh powder all week? My luck’s off the charts. Monday: Ripping Brighton. Tuesday: Snowbird, here I come! 🚀 Thanks for the pre-trip advice—I thought I was ready. Spoiler: I wasn’t. 😅 11” of fresh overnight + Tuesday snowfall = deep powder chaos. 🌨️ Parked at Lower Gad like you guys said. First lap: Mid-Gad chair → green run… whoops. Stepped off the lift into chest-deep powder and became a human snowplow. 🤦♂️ Two blue laps in Gad Valley = confidence boost. Time to take the Tram to the summit. 🚠 Backcountry was closed (no mining cave adventures). 😢 Plan: Chips Run. Reality: Whiteout at the top. 🌫️ First turn? Visible. Second turn? Gone. Ended up on a black diamond cliff band with no escape. 😱 Forgot to snap a pic in my panic. Thankfully, it was wide enough to side-slip down safely. 🙏 Post-cliff ego check: “Black diamonds? Easy!” 🤡 Cue faceplant into a rocky choke point with no U-turn option. Overconfidence = Disaster. 💀 After that, I embraced the chaos: black diamond carves, awkward powder transitions, and a sweaty slog back to Center Lodge. 🚌 Shuttle to Gad = sanity restored. Snowbird Verdict: Pros: Jaw-dropping scenery. 🏔️ Cons: Ungroomed chaos! One minute I’m sinking in powder, next minute launching off moguls. 🤸♂️ Surprise: Traverses were better than expected—steep enough to maintain speed, just use the terrain to scrub momentum. 🏂 Thursday: Back for more powder! 🎿 Familiarity = smoother runs.
